金融體制改革是我們經(jīng)濟體制改革的重頭戲。中國金融體系存在許多問題，最主要的就是銀行不良貸款比例較高，存在著很大的金融隱患。主要原因在于體制，必須加快對銀行體制的改革。我們的目標(biāo)是建立現(xiàn)代銀行制度，使銀行能夠成為自主經(jīng)營、自負盈虧、真正的商業(yè)銀行。我們要創(chuàng)造條件實行銀行公司治理結(jié)構(gòu)的改造，實行股份制(share-holding system)，具備條件的，允許上市。

Financial reform is the most difficult and the most crucial part of our overall economic reforms. The financial sector in China has been plagued by many problems. The biggest problem is the fairly high proportion of non-performing loans from banks. There exists significant risk. The problem is caused by defects in the system. So we have to accelerate the reform of the banking system. Our aim is to put in place a modern banking system whereby the banks will be commercial banks in a true sense, responsible for their own operation decisions and for their profits and losses. On our part, we will help create conditions that facilitate(s) corporate governance among banks through the share-holding system. Those that meet the conditions can go public.
